DJ AM’s toxicology reports have been made public. According to the medical examiners office, the official cause of death was acute intoxication due to the combined effects of the drugs.  This kid had a whole of stuff in his system! The drugs found were cocaine, OxyContin, Hydrocodone/Vicodin, Xanax, Ativan (used to treat anxiety) Klonopin (keeps anger in check) Benadryl, and Levamisole, which is a drug used to cut cocaine. The death was ruled accidental. Aside from the insane cocktail of pills found in his system, a crack pipe and Rx bottles were found in his NYC apartment in Soho. Six of the pills were found in his stomach, one in his throat. Sad!

DJ AM, whose real name was Adam Goldstein, was slated to start a new reality show with MTV where he and concerned families performed drug interventions. DJ AM was very open about his past addiction to drugs.

Past drug addictions? More like current! Eh…well, in all fairness to DJ AM, he went thru a lot! A fuckin plane crash where he received critical burns and barely survived?? Yeah, I think I would be taking anti anxiety pills for that too! Oh and being in pain from the skin grafts you received from the burns? Yeah, give me some pain pills too while you are at it. You know, I would also be pretty mad if I survived and my friends didn’t…I’d be mad the whole thing happened! Full of rage really! I would have needed something to keep me in check. Benedryl? I have no idea…maybe he had the allergies or couldn’t sleep? This guy had way to much going on….so sad. RIP DJ AM
