Kristen Stewart Is Artsy! *It Must Be A Twilight Cast Kinda Day*

Saturday, December 5th, 2009

kristen-stewart-welcome-to-the-rileys2

That’s right – KStew wants you to know that Twilight doesn’t define her. And, to prove it, she is playing a stripper/prostitute in her new film.

In Welcome To The Rileys Kristen plays a sad and down trod stripper that stumbles into the lives of a sad and down trod couple trying to cope with the loss of their daughter. The grieving couple is played by James Gandolfini and Melissa Leo.

Why do I get the feeling this is going to be one of those “Guy-picks-up-a-stripper-and-pays-her-for-sex-only-to-find-out-she’s-a-person” kinda flicks? Toss in the grieving parents bit and it gets uber creepy. Like, is James Gandolfini gonna adopt Bella Swan after defiling her?!

I have to admit that my morbid curiosity has gotten the better of me and I WILL be seeing this one!

I’ll even endure the boobs! And you know that means a lot!

Taylor Lautner To Play Superhero Max Steel

Saturday, December 5th, 2009

TaylorSteel

Speaking of how busy Taylor Lautner is….

The rumor around Hollywood is Taylor has penned a deal to portray the cartoon superhero Max Steel.

I have to admit that I’m not exactly familiar with the character, so I don’t really have much of an opinion. I can say that Taylor is no stranger to the superhero role – You do remember Shark Boy and Lava Girl right?!

Let me remind you…….

sharkboy_and_lavagirl

Too cute right?!

I will have to brush up on my Max Steel knowledge so we can talk about this more later…

And you’re right –  I just really wanted to post the Shark Boy picture!!

Robert Pattinson Is Still Humble

Tuesday, November 3rd, 2009

RPatzz2

We are just a few weeks away from the release of New Moon, and all of the cast interviews are starting to pop up everywhere. We’ll start today with what many of you consider the most important!

It’s hard to believe that a year ago we barely knew who he was. Now Robert Pattinson can’t grab a cup of coffee without a bodyguard and gaggle of grinning tweens on his tail.

In a new interview with Vanity Fair, Rob talks about being shy and looking like a “cartoon character.”

I don’t know how he can think he’s not attractive, but the humble 23-year-old still can’t see it like we do.

He’s also quite shy and says – . “I’m unbearably self-conscious about stuff,” and claims that his biggest fear is his ass crack slipping out in front of the paps.

When asked about the fame he admits – “I’m trying not to drown.”

As for his relationship” with Kristen, “It doesn’t make any difference what you say [to the tabloids] – I’ve literally been across the country [from Kristen], and it’s like ‘Oh, they were on secret dates!’ It’s like ‘Where? I can’t get out of my hotel room!’”

Poor Rob – we feel for ya buddy!

Kristen Stewart Finds Fame Undesirable

Tuesday, November 3rd, 2009

kstew

Kristen Stewart isn’t exactly new to Hollywood, but she still isn’t crazy about being famous.

In an interview with BlackBook Magazine, Kristen says –

“Nothing about being a celebrity is desirable – I’m an actor. It’s bizarre to me that everybody’s so obsessive. I don’t want to be a movie star like Angelina Jolie”

Too bad Kristen, if you haven’t noticed, you’re already there.

Actually, right now, she’s even hotter. Angelina can still take her kids to the pet store without being mobbed. Poor Kristen can’t even step out of her hotel with creating a scene.

She goes on to talk very briefly about New Moon co-star Rob, but she simply reiterated that the pair are just good friends – nothing more.

With all of the attention Taylor Lautner has gotten after a couple of dates with Taylor Swift, it would surprise me if Rpattz and Kstew were still keeping a relationship under wraps for press purposes. I mean seriously – do you have any idea how many little girls would LOVE to see these two admit their together?!

But hey – I could be wrong.

Gabby Sidibe – Hollywood’s New Sweetheart

Friday, October 30th, 2009

Gabourey-Gabby-Sidibe

Even if you don’t recognize her now, you will. This is Gabourey “Gabby” Sidibe, the break-out star of the Oprah/Tyler Perry produced Precious. Based on the novel “Push” by Saphirre (a New York Poet), Precious is the story of a 350lb teenager living in 1987 Harlem. It’s often touching and funny, but terribly sad, and Gabby was made for this part. Holding her own against Mariah Carey and Lenny Kravitz, Gabby has already been mentioned for Oscar contention.

This former secretary, that used to battle with her self esteem, finds herself in a new city every week – promoting the movie and gaining lots of attention. In interviews she is humble and sweet. She giggles and laughs and smiles at everyone. She brings her mother to red carpet events and, during interviews, will peek back at her mom just to check in.

It’s about time we had more reality in Hollywood – more women that prove you don’t need to be tiny to shine on camera. And Gabby knows it -

”Because I am not, I guess, of a normal weight, people look at me like I am not worth a life and stuff. And I have been told plenty of times that my life would never mean anything – That type of negative self-image, it can drive someone to death, absolutely. And so while I believed that for a lot of time in my life, eventually I stopped listening,”

I just LOVE this woman! She is already in talks for a second movie and I can’t wait to see more of her.

Willem Dafoe Was Almost Batman

Friday, October 30th, 2009

WillemDafoe

There is really only one thing that I love more than dance shows, and that’s anything based on a comic book. And of al of the comic book superheroes, Batman is my favorite. I mean, I have a serious thing for the Caped Crusader – he adorns the walls in my house and I have a HUGE Batman print above my bed. (Yes, my husband is VERY understanding)

Well, now it’s come out that Wllem Dafoe was once in talks to play Batman in Tim Burton’s 1989 film. I’m not sure how I feel about this. I mean, I love Willem, but he doesn’t exactly scream Batman to me. Of course, neither did Michael Keaton and some would argue that he was the best Batman yet. (I would disagree fervently lol)

Anyway – here is what Willem had to say about it -

”Very early, they talked to me about playing Batman – I hate to spread these things because unless you remember it well, you’re stoking the fires of bulls***. But I remember [it]. I’ve had my brush with these things.”

Hahahaha – “I’ve had my brush with these things.” How does he always manage to come across classy and cocky all at the same time?! Maybe he could have pulled off Batman!

Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day!!!

Thursday, October 29th, 2009

Are you kidding me?! It looks so good!

It’s like they finally got the money to make the movie they wanted to make in the first place. I am, of course, a little worried. It’s risky business messing with perfection, we have seen independent films raped via sequel before, but I am SO willing to give it a chance!

I wonder if we will all be quoting this one now?! It’s pretty hard to beat gems like “Ahh, I respected the hell out of her, Ma!” and “I’ll have a coke!” (Yes I will be watching the first one tonight, shut up!)

Enjoy the trailer kiddies!
